Eggleston, Fasano Postseason All-Stars

The Northern League has announced that T-Bones centerfield Aharon Eggleston and designated hitter Jim Fasano are 2008 Postseason All-Stars. The team is made up of players voted on by the league’s managers, pitching coaches, general managers, radio announcers and local media.
 
Eggleston finished the season sixth in the league with a .332 batting average, led the league in hits with 126 and finished second in runs scored and stolen bases with 76 and 36 respectively. Eggleston also hit a career high six home runs and played in all 96 games.
 
Fasano led the league in home runs (20), RBI (84), total bases (196) and extra base hits (49). He finished second in the league with 29 doubles. He was also twice named the Northern League Player of the Week on May 26 and July 7.   
 
There were 11 players named to the team, all of whom are still playing in the playoffs and also represented their respective teams at the mid-season All-Star Game in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
 
Fasano and Eggleston are in the lineup today against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in Game Two of the Northern League Playoffs at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. The T-Bones currently lead the series 1-0 over the RedHawks. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05. Tickets are available by calling the T-Bones box office at (913) 328-BALL.
