GAME TWO TONIGHT!

09/03/2008 8:36 AM -
After a thrilling game one at CommunityAmerica Ballpark last night, the T-Bones and the RedHawks prepare for the second game of the best-of-five series.

The T-Bones trailed first but rallied back with a four-run sixth inning to take a 4-2 lead. Three of those runs came on a bases clearing double by catcher Craig Hurba. After both teams traded a run in the seventh, the RedHawks pulled within one with a tally in the eighth. With the T-Bones leading 5-4 in the ninth, T-Bones closer David Trahan walked the first two batters of the inning before striking out Carlo Cota. With runners at first and second, Ruben Salazar, the Northern League batting champ, hit a sharp one-hopper that second baseman Bo Hart grabbed with a dive to start a game-ending double play.

Game two figures to have equally as much as excitement as right-hander Chris Rhoads takes the mound for the T-Bones against right-hander Gary Bakker of the RedHawks. Rhoads pitched well in the month of August to close out the regular season. He made six starts allowing two or fewer runs in four of them pitching into the seventh inning in five of the six.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 and tickets are available by calling the T-Bones box office at (913) 328-BALL (2255). You can also click here to purchase tickets online. Postseason tickets are just $1 more than normal regular season single game tickets.
