T-Bones go for Clincher Tonight Against Joliet

08/26/2008 8:00 AM -
With a win tonight the T-Bones could clinch the final spot in the Northern League playoffs. If the T-Bones hold on for a fourth place finish, it would be the first time since 2004 that the T-Bones have made the playoffs.

If the T-Bones don’t win tonight a win on Thursday could also be a clincher. The T-Bones magic number officially sits at two but that would only apply if Joliet wins each of the next two games.

In addition to possibly seeing the T-Bones clinch a playoff spot tonight, you can also get two for the price of one domestic draft beers at the game. Following the game you can also bring your glove and play catch on the field compliments of Sonic Drive Ins.

Tonight’s game is the second of three against the fifth-place Joliet JackHammers who currently sit four games back of the T-Bones with only five games to play. Kenny Durost will get the ball for the T-Bones while Joliet will counter with Vince Perkins. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.
