FARGO, N.D. – The Kansas City T-Bones and Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks continued to exchange leads in tonight’s contest before a two-run 10th inning pushed the T-Bones past the RedHawks, 10-8, at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo, N.D.

Kansas City quickly jumped on Todd George in the first inning, scoring three times to take a 3-0 lead.  Aharon Eggleston (pictured) tripled to begin the inning and scored on an errant relay throw from second baseman Carlo Cota.  Ken Harvey capped off the frame with a two-run home run, his 11th of the season.

The T-Bones added another run on a home run by Bo Hart in the second, his 10th of the campaign, to push Kansas City’s lead to four.

Kenny Durost allowed just one run over his first four innings on a solo shot by Alan Rick in the third inning.  Fargo broke through for four tallies in the fifth against the right-hander, using just two hits and five walks to gain a 5-4 advantage.    Durost left after five innings having allowed five runs on five hits in a no-decision.

Kansas City responded with a two-run sixth to retake the lead, 6-5.  George surrendered two straight hits after inducing an out from the first batter of the frame, leaving in favor of Scott Koerber with two on base.  The first pitch by Koerber got past Rick for a passed ball, moving the runners up one base.  Geoff McCallum grounded out to second to bring home the first run before a wild pitch plated the second.

George allowed six runs, five earned, on seven hits over his five and one-thirds innings.  He did not factor into the decision.

The see-saw battle continued in the bottom of the sixth when Fargo retook the lead with a two-run blast by Kole Zimmerman off Payton Tweddale.  Kansas City then tied the contest at seven on an RBI single by Jim Fasano in the seventh.

The bottom of the frame saw the RedHawks respond yet again, using a run-scoring double from Rick off Andy Shipman to pull ahead 8-7.  Kansas City continued to battle in the eighth, capitalizing on a two-base error by the left fielder Zimmerman on a single by Eggleston that allowed Steve Trout to score from first to tie the game at eight.

After a scoreless ninth for both teams, McCallum reached safely on an error by Cota to begin the 10th for the T-Bones.  Eggleston attempted to sacrifice himself but reached safely with an infield hit when first base was left uncovered.  The next batter, Hart, singled home McCallum for the first tally of the frame.  Eggleston then scored on a two-out hit by Fasano to give Kansas City a 10-8 lead.  Hart was thrown out at home on the play.

Adam Rowe was charged with two unearned runs over two and one-thirds innings in the loss.  Shipman went three and two-thirds innings for Kansas City, allowing one run on four hits in the victory.  David Trahan threw a scoreless 10th for his 19th save of the season.

Kansas City now heads north to Canada to face the Winnipeg Goldeyes in a three-game weekend set.  First pitch tomorrow night is set for 7:00.
