T-Bones Wrap Up Homestand Tonight

08/19/2008 8:57 AM -
The Kansas City T-Bones are going for the series win tonight against the Gary SouthShore RailCats. It is the last game of a five-game homestand before the T-Bones hit the road for a five-game road trip. First pitch scheduled for 7:05 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

Anthony Snow takes the hill for the T-Bones against Gary’s Brian Forystek. Snow throws well at home, posting a 3-1 record with a 4.91 ERA in six starts. He has struck out 21 batters in 29 and one-thirds innings at the friendly confines.

RailCat starter Brian Forystek started the first game of the five-game set with a 6-5 victory and hopes to end the series with a similar result. Forystek is familiar with T-Bones hitters as his last three appearances have been against Kansas City. Forystek is 3-1 against Kansas City with a 3.58 ERA in six appearances this season.

Kansas City will get on the bus following the conclusion of tonight’s game and head to Fargo, North Dakota for a quick two-game set. The T-Bones will then travel to Winnipeg for the final time this season and take on the Goldeyes in a three-game series. Kansas City returns home for their final home stand of the season on August 26 and it will run through August 31.
