07/17/2008 8:00 AM - “Featured Fan of the Week” is a fun way to involve those the T-Bones love the most – their fans!  So let’s get started with the next fans of the season.

Elizabeth Lewis of Leavenworth, Kan.,(left) and friend Haily Ayres, of Lansing, Kan., (right) were enjoying their food at a picnic table on the concourse Wednesday, July 16, before watching Ayers’ brother walk around the field with his Lansing baseball team before the game.  Lewis has been a T-Bones fan for a couple of seasons, and Ayres is a fairly new fan, having attended about three prior games.  

Lewis’ favorite time at CommunityAmerica Ballpark was this past June during the rainout game when the baseball crew pulled the tarp and did some tarp slides. That game is rescheduled for July 29 at 6 p.m.  

Ayres remembers watching the Dizzy Bat Race between-inning contest last season.  She loved seeing a couple spin their bodies around the bat, then attempt to run to the finish line before falling down short of the finish.

“I’m a pretty new T-Bones fans, but I see myself coming back,” said Ayres.  Both ladies said they plan on attending future games.
