Animal Awareness Night Update

07/04/2008 8:00 AM - Animal Awareness Night ‘08 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark is deemed a success.  Of the respondents who took a follow-up questionnaire, the majority said that the ability to educate the public about their pets was most valuable, with the pet parade the next favorite activity provided by the T-Bones prior to the game.

More than eight pets were adopted directly at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.  One organization alone had at least five follow-up calls about people who wanted to adopt pets.  Other organizations had phone call leads too and had the chance to set up spay and neuter appointments at the event.

What was special about Animal Awareness Night for Melodee Regal, operator at Second Chance Barnyard, was “seeing everyone’s care and concern for the angels.”

The animal parade at the game was exciting for the organizations and their pets, which gave them a chance to circle the field and gain exposure.  The T-Bones look forward to another sensational turnout next season.
