WINNIPEG, Manitoba – The Kansas City T-Bones search for consecutive wins continues after tonight’s 7-3 loss to the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Canwest Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

The T-Bones struck first in tonight’s game, using a wild pitch from Aaron Jackson and an RBI single from Jim Fasano to take an early 2-0 lead.  Fasano’s basehit extended his RBI streak to eight games.  He has also hit safely in eight straight.

Kansas City picked up their final run of the contest in the fifth on an RBI single from Ken Harvey.  Jackson left after five innings, surrendering three runs on seven hits as he improved to 2-1 on the season.

Anthony Snow held the Goldeyes scoreless in the first before allowing an unearned run in the second.  Tydus Meadows led off the frame with a single and scored on a dropped popfly by shortstop Geoff McCallum.  Winnipeg added another run in the third on an RBI single by Antoin Gray to tie the game at two.

Brent Metheny singled home two more Goldeye runs with one out in the fourth to give Winnipeg a 4-2 lead.  Metheny also singled to lead off the third inning, extending his hit streak to 26 games.

Snow retired the side in order in the fifth before loading the bases with two singles and an intentional walk to Metheny.  Snow gave way to Chris Rhoads following the walk and watched all three runners score on a wild pitch, sacrifice fly by Kevin West and single by Meadows as Winnipeg gained a 7-3 advantage.  Snow was charged with the loss after allowing seven runs, six earned, on nine hits in five and one-thirds innings.

Brian Beuning entered for Jackson and retired the first eight batters he faced before an error by West allowed Kevin Mahar to reach in the eighth.  Beuning retired the final batter of the frame and threw a scoreless ninth to earn his third save of the season.

Rick Hummel threw a perfect eighth to finish the game for Kansas City.

Kansas City heads to Joliet to face off against the JackHammers tomorrow night, sending Rick Rivas to face off against David Moraga.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.
