The T-Bones contribute more than 300 donations per month to benefit thousands of organizations around the Kansas City area each year. These foundations including everywhere from high schools to Relay for Life to the American Red Cross.  Every organization that qualifies receives four general admission tickets to Sunday through Wednesday home games. 

During the season the T-Bones organization and fans find many different ways to contribute to the community. For example, season ticket holders can donate on a nightly basis their unused tickets to be used by local charities.  Every Monday night in 2007, the season ticket holders donated seats to the Kansas City Behavioral Health Clinic.  Also, the T-Bones donate more than 50 first-pitch opportunities with four select tickets to local charitable organizations to auction off at various events. These have helped community partners to further thier organizations by giving their supports the chance at a very exciting opportunity.  

The T-Bones Uncommitted Recreation Fund (T.U.R.F.) was created as a key component of the Kansas City T-Bones Baseball Club’s commitment to the community of Kansas City, Kansas.  For each T-Bones ticket that is purchased, 50 cents goes to the Wyandotte Community Foundation who manages the Fund. The Fund’s Board is responsible for selecting and voting to fund an annual project, which benefits the youth in the community through major park improvements. The Fund supports specific capital improvement projects; past improvements include the renovation of ballparks. Gary Salva, director of parks and recreation for the Unified Government, is “grateful for all past contributions and is looking forward to continued park improvements through the generosity of the T-Bones.”
