T-Bones Drop Fifth Straight 8-306/06/2008 10:01 PM - KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The T-Bones losing streak reached five thanks to an 8-3 loss at the hands of the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks tonight in front of 5,603 fans at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. Brad Correll extended his on-base streak to 20 consecutive games by going one-for-three with a double, two RBI and a walk. T-Bones starter Anthony Boughner (pictured) struggled, giving up five earned runs in four innings pitched. The first three RedHawk batters reached safely on Boughner’s first three pitches resulting in a two-run first. The RedHawks added another run in the second to take a 3-0 lead. Boughner suffered his first loss of the season, falling to 3-1. The T-Bones scored their first run off Broc Coffman in the third on a sacrifice fly from Geoff McCallum, plating Ryan Smith. The RedHawks answered back with three more in the fourth and one more in the fifth, extending their lead to 7-1. The T-Bones added their final two runs in the fifth on a two RBI double by T-Bones left fielder Brad Correll. Correll continues to lead the league with 29 RBI. Coffman improved to 2-3 holding the T-Bones to just three runs on nine hits in seven innings of work. He struck out eight T-Bones batters in the effort. The RedHawks tacked on one more run in the ninth on a sacrifice fly by Joe Mathis, plating Zach Penprase. Alexy Still pitched one and one-thirds innings, giving up one run while walking four of the nine batters he faced. Brady Martinez relieved Still and pitched a flawless one and two-thirds innings. Rick Hummel pitched one scoreless inning, giving up one hit while striking out two. David Trahan pitched the ninth, giving up one run on two hits. The T-Bones look to end the losing streak tomorrow as Kenny Durost takes the mound for the T-Bones opposite Garry Bakker for the RedHawks. First pitched is scheduled for 7:05. |
