T-Bones Take on Flyers05/30/2008 8:20 AM - The T-Bones travel to begin a three-game series tomorrow to take on the Schaumburg Flyers for the second time this season. The T-Bones and the Flyers tied the series with both teams winning two games. During the series, Kansas City’s two wins were blowouts with a score of 13-1 in two back-to-back games. Excluding both of these games, the T-Bones scored almost half of their total runs (59) of the season with 26 in two games from the Flyers. Probable starters to begin the series for the T-Bones are Anthony Boughner and Kenny Durost against the Flyers starters, Matthew Varner, Brian Finch and Brad Mumma. The first pitch of the series is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.; the second game pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. and ending the series with a day game at 1:20 p.m. The T-Bones now share their number one seed with Fargo-Moorhead with a 9-4 record.
Kansas City finished their second series of the homestand at CommunityAmerica Ballpark on Thursday night against the Gary Railcats. The T-Bones won the series with two wins against Gary’s solo win of the series. The T-Bones defense struggled, but still held on to the win. Kansas City’s bullpen is shining this season with six pitchers taking the mound averaging a 2.21 ERA this season. |
