KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones and manager Andy McCauley announced today the signing of veteran pitcher T.J. Nall.  Nall is expected to start for Kansas City tonight against the Gary SouthShore RailCats at U.S. Steel Yard in Gary, Ind.

Nall, 27, was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the eighth round of the 1999 amateur draft.  He spent eight seasons with Los Angeles before his release following the 2006 season.  The Washington Nationals signed Nall shortly after and sent him to their Double-A affiliate Harrisburg Senators to begin the 2007 campaign.  After being promoted to Class AAA Columbus, Nall was released on June 24 before being picked up by the Boston Red Sox on June 30.  He finished the year in the Red Sox organization before his release following the season.

Nall has posted a 45-59 record with a 4.51 ERA over 880 and one-thirds innings in his professional career, starting 122 of his 217 career games.  Over that span, Nall has punched out 731 batters to just 249 walks, a K:BB ratio of more than three-to-one.

The right-hander was named Minor League Player of the Month for June 2006 while with the Dodgers.
