Tickets prices for the 2008 Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Baseball Tournament, which will be played May 9-11 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, Kan., have been set by the conference office.

The tournament is slated to start Friday, May 9, with games at noon and 6 p.m. Three games are slated for Saturday, May 10, starting at 11 a.m.. Action on Championship Sunday, May 11, will begin at 1 p.m.

Tournament passes, good for all tournament games (up to seven possible), will be $25. Daily passes also will be available -- $10 for adults, $5 for students with ID and youth. Children under the age of 6 will be admitted free.

All seating will be general admission.

Tickets go on sale Thursday (April 17), and can be purchased through the Kansas City T-Bones Ticket Office by calling (913) 328-BALL (2255) or going to www.tbonesbaseball.com. Only Tournament Passes and Adult Daily Passes will be sold in advance.

"The tournament pass is a great bargain for fans to watch some of the best baseball in NCAA Division II," MIAA commissioner Jim Johnson said. "We've consistently sent multiple teams to the Division II Tournament, and it appears we could be well represented again this season."

The MIAA currently has two teams ranked in the Collegiate Baseball Division II Coaches Top 30 -- Emporia State at No. 4 and Central Missouri tied at No. 14.

ESU (36-3) enters action Wednesday (April 16) with win in its last 29 games (a league-record winning streak) and all 22 in conference play (matching the best start by a school in MIAA play). Central Missouri (28-8) is 17-3 in MIAA action and has victories in 16 of its last 19 games.

The top four teams in the MIAA standings at the conclusion of the regular season advance to the conference tournament.

This is the first year the NCAA Division II conference with 10 schools in Missouri and Kansas has conducted its tournament at the home of the Northern League's Kansas City T-Bones.
