T-Bones Invite Three More to Camp

04/04/2008 3:18 PM -
T-Bones manager Andy McCauley announced today that the T-Bones have added two pitchers and a catcher to the pre-season roster. Pitchers Anthony Snow and Kyle Rogers and catcher Josh Stinson will all be battling for spots during the T-Bones exhibition season starting in May.

“Stinson had a pretty good college career at Oklahoma and Texas A&M,” said McCauley. “We’re looking for him to battle for a backup catching job to give Hurba a break a couple times a week.”

Stinson also played a couple of seasons in the Cape Cod League, an exclusive collegiate summer league.

Anthony Snow played collegiately at Edmonds Community College and Oklahoma City University. He spent last season in the Florida Marlins system going 1-6 with a 6.29 in 48 2/3 innings with class A Jamestown in the New York Penn League.

“Anthony Snow was a very good pitcher in Oklahoma City,” said McCauley.  “We’ve had a lot of success down there with Mario Delgado and Tag Horner and we’re looking to continue that tradition with Snow. He should battle for a starting position at the end of our rotation or a spot out of the bullpen.”

Ryan also figures to be in the mix for a spot on the T-Bones pitching staff for the 2008 season.

“He’s been out of baseball the last couple of years, but we found him at a tryout camp in Allentown, Pennsylvania and he impressed me enough at the tryout to warrant an invite to spring training,” said McCauley

The T-Bones open the 2008 season on the road May 15 in Winnipeg, before the home-opener at CommunityAmerica Ballpark on May 23 against Schaumburg. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05. Single-game tickets, season tickets and mini plans are available now by calling the T-Bones box office at (913) 328-5618.
