All-Star Returns to Rotation

03/17/2008 2:11 PM -

T-Bones manager Andy McCauley has announced the signing of another all-star from the 2007 squad.  Kenny Durost who represented the T-Bones at the Northern League All-Star Game in Fargo, North Dakota with Aharon Eggleston last summer will be back in the rotation for 2008.  Last season Durost went 6-5 with a 6.14 ERA in 19 games.  In 92 1/3 innings, Durost struck out 60 batters.

“We’re excited to have Kenny back,” said McCauley.  “He was probably one of our most consistent pitcher and an all-star.  We’re looking to have him back at the top of our rotation.  He and Anthony Boughner will make a good one-two punch at the top of the rotation.”

Durost was originally selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 28th round of the 2003 June draft.  He spent the first three seasons of his career in the Brewers system.  After that, he had a brief stint with McCauley in Schaumburg before betting acquired by the Oakland A’s in 2006.

The T-Bones open the 2008 season on the road May 15 in Winnipeg, before the home-opener at CommunityAmerica Ballpark on May 23 against Schaumburg.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.  Tickets are now on sale, for more information call the T-Bones box office at (913) 328-5618.
