The Northern League of Professional Baseball will hold its annual tryout camp on April 12 and 13 at Stephen Schott Stadium, located on the campus of Santa Clara University, just outside of San Jose, California. The league is entering its’ 16th year of play, after the rebirth of the league as an independent circuit in 1993. Over 600 players have gone on to affiliated baseball after playing in the Northern League.

The camp will be attended by managers, coaches and front office personnel of the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, Joliet JackHammers, Schaumburg Flyers, Gary SouthShore RailCats, Kansas City T-Bones and Winnipeg Goldeyes. Several major league scouts will also be in attendance. Following 8:30 AM starts on both days, there will be a draft of players who will be offered contracts for the 2008 season.
