Former Kansas City T-Bones Director of Merchandise Sarah Keel has been named the new Director of Ticket Sales for the 2008 season.  Keel’s switch comes after the departure of Melissa Schloss, who has moved on to work with Gateway International Speedway in St. Louis, Missouri .  Schloss had been head of ticket sales for the last two seasons.

Keel has a lengthy history with the T-Bones and has worked in various capacities with the organization since 2005, when she started as a promotions intern.  She oversaw and managed the Meat Locker – the T-Bones gift shop at CommunityAmerica Ballpark – during the 2006 season and was promoted to Director of Merchandise for 2007.  While in that position, Keel worked hard to expand the variety of items available and helped to open the Team Store at the Legends in the Fall of 2006.  The store allows fans to purchase T-Bones merchandise year-round.

"Sarah has done an outstanding job with us, especially selecting the terrific variety of merchandise, and creating the customer-friendly storefront in our retail store at the Legends mall," said T-Bones Vice-President Adam Ehlert.

This will be her first position in ticket sales.

“I’m looking forward to working with our great season ticket holders and all T-Bones fans,” Keel said.  “I have had the pleasure of getting to know many of them throughout the last 3 seasons and I’m excited to continue those relationships.”

Keel takes over ticket sales for an organization that saw another attendance increase in 2007, to an average of over 6,000 fans per game.  She’s excited for the new challenge and said that fans can expect the same great customer service and affordable options for the 2008 season.

“We have a great staff here that is here to help make this another memorable season of Fun Well Done for all our fans,” she said.
