KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones and the Northern League are happy to announce that second baseman Rob Watson (pictured) has been selected as a member of the 2007 Postseason All-Star Team.  Watson is the only T-Bone to be voted to the team.

Watson led the T-Bones with a .343 average, good for fourth in the league, and an on-base percentage of .438, third in the league.  He also reached base safely in 47 of the T-Bones 48 home games this season.  Watson played in more games than anybody else on the T-Bones, sitting out only one of the team’s 96 games.  His 132 hits were second on the team and were the second-highest hit total in franchise history, trailing only teammate Mario Delgado who collected 136 this season.  He added eight home runs and 72 RBI, both of which surpassed his previous career highs of six and 37 respectively.

Earlier in the year, Watson was recognized as the Northern League’s Player of the Week from July 23-29, and was named Player of the Month for July.

The team was voted on by the league’s managers, radio announcers and local media.
