KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones, in association with the American Club Association, held their inaugural golf tournament to help fund the Buck O’Neil Research Education Center at the historic Paseo YMCA.  The project is an expansion of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.

The entry fee was $125 and registrants got to play in a four-man scramble with T-Bones players on their team.  Winners of the longest drive and longest putt as well as tournament winners all took home prizes. T-Bones manager Andy McCauley, pitchers Travis Schlichting and
Chris Krawczyk took home the prizes for the longest putt, longest drive and closet to the pin respectively.  Schlichting's foursome won the tournament.

Sponsorship support was provided by Kirk Young and Young HR Services as well as Red Development and Dave and Busters.

It is currently unknown how much money was raised to benefit the museum’s project but the museum is hoping to raise a total of $15 million to pay for the renovation and expansion project.
