08/15/2014 8:36 AM - As part of Orlando City Foundation’s (Foundation) newest initiative, “Kicking it Back to the Community Day,” Foundation staff, board members, fans, and partner organizations, spent the afternoon at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. The volunteers sorted and packed food for its distribution to the various feeding organizations throughout Central Florida. |
08/15/2014 8:23 AM - With the mission of promoting health and wellness within the Parramore community, Orlando City Foundation (Foundation), along with the Orlando Magic, Mayor Buddy Dyer, and Commissioner Regina Hill, participated in the “Back to School” celebration in Parramore on Saturday, August 2nd. The event was well received by the Parramore community, as more than 300 youth from the Parramore Kidz Zone (PKZ) attended the function. |
08/15/2014 8:00 AM - Armed with boxes full of children’s toys and Orlando City gear, Orlando City Forward Giuseppe Gentile and BASE Camp Children’s Cancer Foundation teamed up to visit children at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. The visit would surely be an unforgettable experience, as Gentile was able to engage with the children and even sign autographs. |
07/28/2014 9:42 AM - Last Tuesday, July 22nd, Orlando City SC players visited a unique village with a very heartwarming mission. Give Kids the World is a non-profit organization that strives to give any and all children with life-threatening illnesses the vacation of a lifetime. They bring children and their families to Central Florida for a memorable, joyful, cost-free visit to the attractions, while staying in the Give Kids the World Village. The Village is a 70-acre resort with 144 Villa accommodations, attractions, and fun. |
07/28/2014 9:03 AM - Orlando City Foundation Board Member, Naome Bradshaw, recently travelled to Anchovy, Jamaica to visit the Garland Hall Memorial Children’s Home. She and her husband brought plenty with them. Orlando City Foundation donated an indestructible soccer ball and thirty uniform kits, which included a training shirt, soccer shorts, and knee high athletic socks. Pediatric dentist, Dr. Lincoln Taylor, also donated 100 tubes of toothpaste and some clothing. They also brought pencils, bubbles, candy and toys. |
