Community Relations
Orlando City SC considers itself a community-based organization, dedicated to serving the Central Florida area off the pitch. With the consideration, the club wanted to give a thorough update to the Central Florida area about the involvement its players, coaches and staff.
Players volunteered over 550 hours in the Central Florida area this past year, with the club continuing to entrench itself as a community-based club in its third year of operations in Orlando.
Within the 550 hours:
• Players participated in 100 unique appearances this past season- including events brought on by Easter Seals Florida, Go Pink Night (MD Anderson Cancer Center), and Little Free Library in Parramore.
• There were also drives for food, soccer equipment and books throughout the season at various charities and non-profits.
The club also donated over 230 gift bags consisting of Orlando City merchandise and gear to local non-profits, schools and silent auctions.
The Lions have also taken additional volunteering efforts on their own, with players such as Jamie Watson (Easter Seals Florida), Rob Valentino (To Be Kind anti-bullying) taking extra time out of their day to make even more of an impact in the community.
