 As part of Orlando City Foundation’s (Foundation) newest initiative, “Kicking it Back to the Community Day,” Foundation staff, board members, fans, and partner organizations, spent the afternoon at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. The volunteers sorted and packed food for its distribution to the various feeding organizations throughout Central Florida.

“It was an honor to be able to serve the local community by sorting and packing much needed food supplies,” said Orlando City Community Relations Executive Assistant Rebecca Thomas. “Supporting children and families’ holistic growth is something that all of Central Florida should be involved in.”

As part of the Foundation’s monthly community outreach initiative, Foundation staff will choose a local organization in which staff and fans can volunteer at. The Foundation takes great pride in its active role in the community, harnessing the cooperation of its players, staff, fans and community partners to make a difference in the lives of others.
