KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones lost their third straight Wednesday night, falling 12-2 to the Calgary Vipers in front of 5,610 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

The Vipers jumped out to a quick lead on T-Bones starter Anthony Boughner, plating two runs in the second on a two-run home run by Kevin Price.  Kansas City reacted quickly to cut the lead in half as Mario Delgado led off the third with his fourth homer of the season.

Calgary would get the run back and add another in the third as Jason Colson lined a homer to left, scoring Carlos Duncan who reached on a one-out walk.  Kansas City responded again in the next half inning as Aharon Eggleston scored on Neb Brown’s sacrifice fly to center, cutting Calgary’s lead to 4-2.

The Vipers added two more in the fourth on a home run from Darryl Brinkley.  It was Calgary’s third consecutive inning with a two-run home run.  Brinkley added his second of the game and the Vipers fourth two-run home run to begin a six-run sixth inning to extend their lead to 10.  Boughner got two outs following Brinkley’s home run before surrendering a single and a walk to Mitch Evans and Drew Miller.  Justin Costi was then called on to relive Boughner and surrendered a three-run home run to pinch hitter Aaron McEachran, Calgary’s fifth long ball of the contest.

Boughner suffered the loss after allowing 11 runs on 12 hits in five and two-thirds innings.  Evan Greusel allowed two runs on nine hits in six innings, improving to 3-0 on the season.

The two teams face off to end the season tomorrow in a day game as Christopher Krawczyk goes for Kansas City against Kazuaki Minami for Calgary.  First pitch is scheduled for 11:05.

Game Notes:  Aharon Eggleston went one-for-four to extend his hitting streak to nine games and his on-base streak to 16 games…Every player for Calgary got a hit in the contest…Jason Colson went two-for-four to extend his on-base streak to 23 games.
