T-Bones GM To Speak At SABR Conference

01/31/2007 2:01 PM - Kansas City T-Bones general manager Rick Muntean will be speaking this Saturday at the Johnson County Central Resource Library in Overland Park during a meeting of the Monarchs Chapter of the Kansas City branch of the Society for American Baseball Research.

“I want to see what we can develop with them,” Muntean said. “This is a great opportunity to introduce SABR to the T-Bones and the Northern League. As we are not affiliated with any other organizations, we are like our own mini-major league and are subject to the same statistical analysis as Major League Baseball.”

SABR is an organization for anyone who enjoys reading and talking about baseball. The society currently has more than 6,700 members, composed of baseball researchers and fans from all professions and backgrounds. Formed in August 1971, SABR strives to “foster the research and dissemination of the history and record of baseball.”

The Johnson County Central Resource Library is located at 9875 W 87th St. in Overland Park.
