UPS says "What can Brown do for you?" T-Bones manager "Dirty" Al Gallagher knows what the Browns can do for him, as Mike Brown and Ray Brown combined for seven hits and five runs batted in in Wednesday night's game. The Browns drove in half of the Kansas City runs and Greg Bicknell hurled a complete game in a 10-3 T-Bones win in front of 2,185 at The Birdcage in Sioux Falls, S. Dak.

Mike Brown's two-run single in the fourth inning followed a costly error by Sioux Falls third baseman John Ballon on a ground ball by Brandon Jones. Ballon's error allowed Brown to come to the plate with the bases loaded and two outs against Canary starter Carlos Figueroa (L, 0-1), and Brown made the Canaries pay with a two-run single up the middle to make the score 4-2 in favor of the T-Bones.

Ray Brown drove in the sixth run for the T-Bones in the top of the sixth with a single to right, his third hit of the game. Brown would put the game out of reach with a two-run single to center in the seventh inning to give the T-Bones their final two runs of the game.

Meanwhile, Bicknell (W, 6-0) was cruising for Kansas City. He allowed two unearned runs in the first inning, but allowed just a sixth-inning homer to Kirk Pierce the rest of the way. In earning his sixth win of the season and avenging his worst 2004 outing, Bicknell allowed just seven hits while striking out six. Bicknell also retired the last eleven batters he faced in the game.

Among those not named Brown, Rick Prieto doubled twice, driving in two runs, and also scored twice for the T-Bones. As well, Matt Ceriani had two hits for the T-Bones and scored two runs in the contest.

Bicknell's record when following a T-Bones loss improves to 4-0 in 2005, and he has posted a 2.40 ERA in those four contests.

Tomorrow night, the T-Bones conclude their seven-game road trip with a 7:05 start in Sioux Falls. Jonathan Krysa (1-5, 4.10) will start for the T-Bones while Julio Medina (1-3, 7.52) will try to take the rubber game of the series for Sioux Falls.
