One night after Josh Loggins homered twice and drove in seven, teammate Jayson Drobiak took his hacks at the T-Bone pitching staff by hitting two home runs of his own and driving in four in the JackHammers' 6-5 victory over the T-Bones. The loss is the T-Bones' third straight

Joliet did all of its offensive damage in the middle innings, scoring single runs in the fourth and sixth frames with the addition of their big four-run fifth inning sandwiched in between. Along with Drobiak, Jeff Goldbach and Jermaine Allensworth each recorded an RBI for the JackHammers.

Joliet reliever J.J. Scheving (1-0) picked up the victory pitching 2.2 scoreless innings and not allowing a hit. At one point in the ballgame, the T-Bones failed to record a hit in 23 consecutive at bats. Ray Brown broke the streak in the eighth by lacing a double to right and later scored on an Eddie Pearson single. In the first, Brown connected on his first home run of the year, a two-run shot, to give the T-Bones an early advantage, but that would only hold until the fifth.

For the third straight night, the T-Bones' starter suffered a rough outing. David Viane (L 1-1), making his first start of the year, allowed six runs and nine hits in 5.1 innings of work. He was chased in the fifth before giving way to Jonathan Krysa. Krysa started on Sunday in Lincoln and gave up eight runs, but was effective in his relief role pitching 3.2 scoreless innings.

The three-game series concludes with tomorrow's matinee beginning at 11:05 a.m.
Right-hander Caleb Balbuena will start the rubber game and Jason Shelley is scheduled to start for the JackHammers.

Notes: Rick Prieto went 2-3 with a double and also scored a run... Matt Ceriani was 0-4 but drove in two runs, ending his eight-game hitting streak... Cody Nowlin's seven-game hitting streak ended with an 0-4 effort.
