Behind two three-run homers and seven RBI from Josh Loggins, the Joliet JackHammers defeated the T-Bones, 11-6, and took the first game of three Monday night at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

The JackHammers hit four home runs and every Joliet starter had at least one hit in the contest. Joliet got on the board in the top of the third inning when Loggins jolted a 400 foot shot to left, the first of his three-run shots, and his sixth of the season.

The JackHammers never looked back scoring a pair of runs in the fifth, three in the fifth and three more in eighth and ninth innings combined. Besides Loggins, Jim Kavourias and Jeff Goldbach went yard for the JackHammers. Starter Luis Villarreal (1-2) picked up the victory for Joliet pitching 5.2 innings while allowing six runs and walking three. The JackHammer relief corps combined for 3.1 scoreless innings to finish the game.

The T-Bones made it interesting scoring five in the bottom of the sixth to pull within three, but that would be the closest they would come. Eddie Pearson led the T-Bones with two hits along with two RBI. Ray Brown and newcomer Eric Vega had two hits apiece and Chad Sosebee drove in two. Joliet roughed up starter Nick Webb (1-2) who received the loss. The lefty went 5.1 innings allowing eight runs, eleven hits while fanning four.

Notes: Starters Jonathan Krysa and Nick Webb have allowed eight earned runs on back-to-back nights, both resulting in T-Bones losses...Matt Ceriani extended his hitting streak to eight games with his sixth inning single...The 16 hits allowed are a T-Bones season high, breaking the earlier mark of 13, also set by Joliet...
