Last season, after their 17-inning loss to Lincoln last August 20, the T-Bones relied on a complete-game, 163-pitch performance from Jonathan Krysa in a 3-1 win that started a nine-game winning streak. Saturday night, it was Greg Bicknell hurling 148 pitches in a 9-7 complete game win over the Lincoln Saltdogs.

Bicknell fanned four in the ballgame while walking three, allowing four earned runs along the way. Kansas City staked Bicknell to a 7-2 lead in the seventh, but Lincoln struck back in the bottom of the inning with four runs, a two-run shot by Pichi Balet the big blow in the inning that got Lincoln back within 7-6.

Bicknell allowed just one run in the final two frames, a solo shot to Bryan Warner, but staved off the Saltdogs in allowing seven runs.

Offensively, the T-Bones were paced by Eddie Pearson, who homered for the first time in a week and drove in four runs. Rick Prieto and newcomer Eric Vega both scored three runs at the top of the order, and Ray Brown doubled in two insurance runs in the eighth inning. As well, Matt Ceriani homered in the fourth inning, his first of the season, which put the T-Bones up, 5-2, before the Saltdogs came storming back.

Notes: Every T-Bone in the lineup with the exception of Chad Sosebee had at least one hit in the contest... Bicknell's 148 pitches were the most since Krysa's outing last August 21... Bicknell gave a bullpen which threw 9.1 IP last night a much-needed night off... tomorrow's game will be played at 2:05 pm, instead of the 9:35 game which would have been played had there been a NCAA Super Regional at Haymarket Park.
