Holovach and Hernandez Shutout Rockland

PAMONA, New York – The Kansas City T-Bones, scored in the top of the ninth inning, and held on to a 1-0 win, Monday night against Rockland.

Kansas City starting pitcher Blake Holovach didn't figure into the decision, but pitched seven shutout innings, and struck out four. T-Bones reliever Fernando Hernandez (1-2) picked up the win with two scoreless innings, and allowed just one baserunner.

The T-Bones lone run came in the top of the night inning, when T-Bones designated hitter Jake Blackwood reached with a one-out walk. Blackwood advanced to third, on Adam Baileys third hit of the game. Next for Kansas City, was RBI leader Kyle Robinson, who didn't waste much time, as he singled to left-field, which scored Blackwood, and gave Robinson his 24th RBI of the season.

The T-Bones pulled back to .500 with the win, and will send right-handed starting pitcher Bobby Doran (4-1) to the mound Tuesday night. 

The T-Bones (16-16) continue the three-game series Tuesday night against Rockland (23-12) with first pitch scheduled for 6:05pm central.
