The Kansas City T-Bones and manager Tim Doherty have announced the return of pitchers Steven Stewart and Kyle Dahman for the 2011 season.

Stewart, 25, made 33 appearances, four starts, for the T-Bones in 2010. The right-hander collected 52 strikeouts against 24 walks in 62 innings of work while posting a 5-3 record. Stewart made his first professional start with Kansas City on July 1 last season, earning the victory at Schaumburg after allowing just two runs on four hits over six innings. He made two appearances during the T-Bones playoff run in 2010, allowing just two hits over four and two-thirds scoreless frames.

Originally signed by the Washington Nationals as a nondrafted free agent in 2008, Stewart appeared in 40 games from 2008-09 as a reliever with Vermont of the New York-Penn League, the Nationals’ Class A short-season affiliate, before joining the T-Bones prior to last season.

Dahman, 26, was signed by the T-Bones out of open tryouts in May 2010. He made eight appearances with Kansas City last season before being traded to the Joliet JackHammers on June 21. The right-hander played collegiately for Maple Woods CC, Longview CC and the University of Nebraska – Omaha.

The T-Bones begin their 2011 campaign in El Paso, TX on May 12 and will host the Gary SouthShore RailCats in their home opener on May 17.
