The Kansas City T-Bones (49-38) set a franchise high for wins in a season at 49 and snapped a three-game losing streak with a 6-4 victory over the Gary SouthShore RailCats (47-41) Tuesday night in front of 6,306 fans at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

Brad Halsey threw three scoreless innings for the RailCats before Kansas City scored four runs against the left-hander in the fourth. Newcomer Gabriel Martinez walked with one out in the inning and moved to second on a single by Ray Sadler. An RBI single by Jim Fasano plated Martinez and moved Sadler to third before a two-run double by Brian Joynt gave the T-Bones a 4-0 advantage.

Andrew Cruse (10-5) allowed just five hits through six innings before Randall Simon started the seventh with a single. After Cruse struck out the next batter, Mike Rohde hit a two-run home run to cut the T-Bones lead to 4-2. Gary then tied the game in the eighth with a two-RBI single by Cristian Guerrero.

The T-Bones answered in their half of the eighth, reclaiming a two-run lead and securing the victory. Martinez hit a solo home run off Jeff Williams (1-3) to start the frame, and Rico Washington added an RBI single to cap the scoring at 6-2.

Cruse allowed four runs on 10 hits and one walk over eight innings, striking out six. With the win, Cruse moves into a three-way tie for the league lead in wins with 10. Drew Shetrone threw a scoreless ninth to earn his fourth save for Kansas City.

Halsey gave up four runs on nine hits and one walk, striking out seven in the no-decision. Williams took the loss, surrendering two runs on three hits in one inning, striking out one.

Joynt finished two-for-four with a double and two RBI, and Sadler went three-for-four to pace the T-Bones.
