Kansas City T-Bones outfielder Ray Sadler has been named Northern League Player of the Week for the second time during the 2010 campaign, this time for the week ending August 22.

Sadler, who was previously selected as Player of the Week for the week ending June 28, batted .458 (11-for-24) with a double, triple, three home runs, and seven RBI in six games played during the week. He also scored four runs and stole a base in that span. Sadler had his best game of the week on August 16 versus Winnipeg when he went four-for-five with two home runs, six RBI, and 12 total bases in the contest. In all, he had four multi-hit games during the week.

The 6-1, 205-pound former major leaguer was signed by the Kansas City T-Bones on March 1, 2010 after playing last year in both the Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rays systems. A 10-year veteran, he made his major league debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates on May 8, 2005.

The 29-year-old, right-handed hitter was originally drafted by Chicago Cubs in the 30th round of the 1999 amateur draft out of Hill College in Hillsboro, TX. He was later traded to the Pirates in 2005 in exchange for Randall Simon. In his career, he has over 150 home runs and 140 stolen bases. Sadler is a native of Clifton, TX.
