08/21/2010 10:42 PM -

The Kansas City T-Bones (48-36) walked 10 batters Saturday night as they fell to the Joliet JackHammers (43-42), 7-4, in game three of a four-game set at Silver Cross Field.

An RBI single by Jim Fasano off Devin Anderson (5-4) in the first inning gave the T-Bones their first run of the contest. Ryan Fox drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs later in the frame for a quick 2-0 Kansas City lead. Kevin Light (3-2) held Joliet scoreless in the bottom of the first, but Joliet struck for two runs on just one hit and three walks in the second to tie the game at two. The first JackHammer run scored on a bases-loaded walk to Josh Flores before a wild pitch forced in the second tally.

Joliet took the lead two innings later with a three-run fourth, chasing Light with an RBI double by Jonathan Wyatt. Erik Hamren entered with two on and immediately surrendered a two-run double to Brad Correll for a 5-2 Joliet advantage.

Light was charged with five runs on four hits and six walks over three and one-thirds innings in the loss. Hamren surrendered another run on an RBI single by Flores in the fifth to push Joliet’s lead to four.

Fasano pushed the score to 6-3 with a solo home run to begin the sixth for Kansas City. Anderson left after a hit batter and single to the next two hitters, giving way to Mike Rocco who struck out two of the three batters he faced to end the inning.

Anderson allowed three runs, two earned, on eight hits over five-plus innings in the win.

Rico Washington collected an RBI single in the seventh for the final T-Bones run. Joliet capped the scoring at 7-4 in the bottom of the inning, using two hits and an error to score a run against Hunter Mense. Casey Hodges and newcomer Grant Ledbetter combined to throw the final one and one-thirds innings for the T-Bones.

Griffin Bailey threw a scoreless ninth to earn his 13th save of the year. Jacob Blackwood went three-for-four and Fasano drove in two runs with a two-for-four performance to pace Kansas City.

Kansas City looks for a series split Sunday afternoon as they send Northern League wins leader Cody McAllister (10-5, 4.24) to face Todd Privett (8-4, 4.19) and the JackHammers.
