Third Annual As Night Planned for July 1707/16/2010 8:03 AM - The Kansas City T-Bones are happy to announce that they will host the Third Annual Kansas City A’s Reunion Night at CommunityAmerica Ballpark on Saturday, July 17. The event will celebrate Kansas City’s first major league team. This will be the third edition of the Kansas City A’s Reunion held at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, an event that continues to be one of the highlights of the season. The following list is players and former staff scheduled to appear as of this release:
NFL Hall of Famer George Toma, former head groundskeeper for the A’s, will also be on hand to assist the T-Bones groundscrew during the contest. With appearances by Charlie-O and Harvey the Rabbit at past events, the Kansas City A’s Reunion Night is always an exciting time for young and old alike. “We’re proud and excited to help showcase a part of Kansas City’s baseball heritage,” said T-Bones general manager Chris Browne. “It’s an honor to have Kansas City’s first major league team at CommunityAmerica Ballpark again this season.” Further details of the event, including a possible autograph session, are being finalized. Kansas City will host exhibition games against Kansas City Kansas Community College on May 11 and 12.
