T-Bones, KCKCC Continue Exhibition Pairing

01/28/2010 10:33 AM -

The Kansas City T-Bones are happy to announce that their yearly exhibition matchup with Kansas City Kansas Community College will continue for the 2010 exhibition season.  The two teams will face off on May 11 and 12, with both games starting at 7:05 p.m.

KCKCC has been a springtime staple at CommunityAmerica Ballpark as they have played their home games at the T-Bones home stadium since 2004.  Head coach Steve Burleson, who coached major leaguers David Segui and Kevin Young, is enjoying his 31st season at KCKCC.

“We are excited to continue this tradition with the Blue Devils,” said T-Bones general manager Chris Browne.  “Coach Burleson and his staff do a great job with their program and these games give KCKCC fans a chance to see their team compete against a professional club.  This is also a good opportunity for T-Bones fans to get an early look at the 2010 squad.”

This will mark the fourth year that the two teams have played each other.  As is the case with every T-Bones home game, parking is free and hot dogs are just $1.

The T-Bones begin their 2010 campaign in Gary, Ind. on May 20 and will host the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in their home opener on May 28.  Season ticket packages and mini plans are available now by calling 913-328-5618.  For information on group outings, call 913-328-5623.  Single game tickets for the exhibition and regular season will go on sale in March.  Visit www.tbonesbaseball.com to stay up-to-date throughout the year.
