T-Bones Welcome Renowned Sculptor Ed Dwight

The Kansas City T-Bones were happy to welcome Ed Dwight, a Kansas City, Kansas native to their offices on Thursday, February 26.

Mr. Dwight has been an artist since his youth. He is a graduate engineer, a former USAF Test Pilot and America’s first Black Astronaut trainee. After a successful career as an Air Force Officer and pilot, real estate and construction entrepreneur, Ed has dedicated the last 27 years solely to his art endeavors.

Mr. Dwight has completed over 90 large scale commissioned installations throughout the U.S.  He has also created over 12,000 other sculptures and is represented in some 10 galleries throughout the United States, including Hawaii.

One piece of work that sports fans might be most familiar with is the statue of Hank Aaron that Mr. Dwight created.  It is currently on display outside of Turner Field in Atlanta, GA.
