T-Bones Grill the Canaries 10-1

08/29/2003 9:54 AM - The Kansas City T-Bones showed their home town fans what they are made of by beating the Sioux Falls Canaries 10-1 Friday night.

The T-Bones struck first with three runs in the first inning. Skip Adams scored on an Eddie Pearson RBI bringing him to 78 for the season. Taber Maier scored on a ground out by Ray Brown, and a single by Rodney Clifton scored Eddie Pearson.

The game was quiet until the top of the sixth inning when the Canaries scored their only run. Troy Farnsworth scored on Ron Bush’s single turned double by an error in left field.

The T-Bones took over with a fruitful seventh inning scoring seven runs with two outs on the board. Both Bao Vihn and Bruce Nelson batted twice in the inning. David Keesee, Skip Adams, Taber Maier, Eddie Pearson, Jack Jones, Rodney Clifton, and Ray Brown all crossed the plate in the seventh is a collections of hits, walks, one stolen base and one error. The scoring was over-shadowed by Eddie Pearson’s first stolen base of the season when he beat the throw to second base.

T-Bones fans were also on their feet for the lucky fan who won $1,000 for throwing a ball through the “Legends” Bullseye. The check was presented to the fan during the game by T-Bones owner John Ehlert.
