CALENDAR OVERLOADED WITH FAMILY FUN, FOOD, FIREWORKS, AND DWIGHT SCHRUTE AS RAILCATS ANNOUNCE 2018 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE

GARY, IN – The Gary SouthShore RailCats promotional schedule is loaded with family fun as the RailCats kick off the 2018 season at U.S. Steel Yard! Single game tickets go on sale at 10 am on Monday, April 9th RailCats fans can enjoy nine giveaways, ten fireworks shows, and numerous special events.

Starting with Opening Day on May 18th, the RailCats will have ten explosive fireworks shows, including every Fifth Third Bank Fireworks Friday game. Get in the patriotic spirit with our Independence Day Fireworks Super Show on July 4^th and our Labor Day Fireworks Super Show on September 2^nd! Don’t miss out on a special SATURDAY Fireworks show on August 18^th presented by GFS.

The RailCats will have four special Festival Days presented by Berey Bros.:

• July 4^th – 4^thof Juluau Pig Roast – An All-American pig roast featuring a whole roasted hog with a special performance by the Barefoot Hawaiian fire twirlers and hula dancers.
• July 21^st – R&R Jamaican Beach Party – Come chill with the vibe of the Caribbean and the flavors of the islands with the beach party featuring flavors from the ALL NEW full-service R&R Bar & Grill!
• August 18^th – AmeriCAN Beer Fest – Celebrate all things America with the first-of-its-kind ALL AMERICAN beer fest. Celebrate and explore the depths of domestic beer; PBR, Icehouse, Miller Lite, the Keystone Family, and many more....
• September 1^st – Oktoberfest – A real German hullaballoo at the ballpark with German biers and food. Make sure to wear your lederhosen for this one! Devil's Trumpet will have a special Early Release of its famed Oktoberfest!

The RailCats welcome a new foe to the league this year – the Chicago Dogs. Named after the eponymous Chicago-style hot dog, the RailCats welcome them for their first game at the Steel Yard on Monday, May 28th with Ketchup Appreciation Day where the first 500 fans will take home a bottle of Red Gold ketchup as we kick off Grilling Season will a special Memorial Day Matinee at 4:10pm.

The 2018 schedule will feature nine free giveaways for fans:

• May 18^th, 19^th, & 20^th – Magnet Schedule presented by Northwest Indiana Orthopedic & Spine Center at Methodist Hospitals (First 1,000 fans)
• May 18^th – Lottery Tickets presented by Hoosier Lottery (First 1,000 adults – 18+)

• May 28^th – Ketchup Bottle presented by Red Gold (First 500 fans)

• June 3^rd – 2018 Team Photo presented by 1-800-QUIT NOW (First 1,000 fans)
• July 21^st – Bucket Hat presented by Methodist Hospitals (First 1,000 adults – 13+)
• August 19^th – 2018 Team Card Set (First 1,000 fans)
• Septemeber 2^nd – T-Shirt Jersey presented by Midwest Boilers (First 1,000 adults – 13+)

• June 15^th & August 3^rd –The Scout Night Sleepover is a fun time to camp on the outfield grass, watch a movie, and have s’mores after the game!  Wake up to a delicious home-cooked breakfast!
• June 17^th-Don’t miss the North Shore Health Fair where you’ll be able to take part in a variety of health screenings right on the concourse!
•June 20^th – Don’t miss out on the RCS Home Health Fair during the special Youth & Senior Day game presented by RCS Home Health! Bring your youth groups, day camps, and senior centers with a special pre-sale $8.50 ticket that includes a hot dog, chips, and drink! 
• July 4^th – Celebrate America with a special doubleheader that includes Barefoot Hawaiian Hula with Fire Dancers, a Classic Egg Toss between games, and special Independence Day Fireworks Super Show!
• July 10^th – Senior Centers, Assisted Living facilities, and nursing homes don’t want to miss out on the second Youth & Senior Day presented by AARP featuring a special pre-sale $8.50 ticket that includes a hot dog, chips, and soda!
• July 22^nd – Join us as we try to break our world record during Christmas in July with the World’s Largest White Elephant Gift Exchange. Bring a wrapped gift to U.S. Steel Yard and you’ll be given a RANDOM wrapped gift in exchange!
• August 25^th – Don’t miss your opportunity to take home a used car during our 5^th Annual Clunker Car Night!

The RailCats schedule is full of fun theme nights for everyone in the family. Your puppy will surely have fun at Bark in the Park presented by McAfee Animal Hospital on May 20^th and a second Bark in the Park presented by Arbor View Animal Hospital on August 5th. Don’t miss out when we celebrate 6 Degrees of Kevin “Bacon” Night with Kevin Bacon themed games and concession specials on the glorious “meat candy” July 20^th. Dress up as your favorite princess or pirate on June 1^st for Princess & Pirates Day! Sharpen up your Jedi skills and hang out with Darth Vader and the rest of the 501^st Legion for Star Wars Night on August 4^th. Throw on your pajamas and hop back into the 80s for Breakfast Club Night on August 17^th where we’ll have breakfast for dinner!

Don’t miss any of the excitement this year by taking advantage of the RailCats weekly specials! Visit your Northwest Indiana MetroPCS locations for MetroPCS Mondays, where fans can get free reserved seat tickets to every Monday home game. CHN Tuesdays offer the opportunity to get a free ticket at NW Indiana Community Health Net locations and you’re sure to enjoy Taco Tuesdays with $2 beef tacos and $5 margaritas.  Wednesday at the Steel Yard is a good day with Pretzel Day and Wine Wednesday offering $2.50 Belgian pretzels and $4 Barefoot Wine and Barefoot Refresh Spritzers at every Wednesday game except July 4^th.  Visit NorthShore Health Centers for free tickets on NorthShore Health Centers Wednesdays.  Thursday is Beer & Dog Day with $1.50 domestic drafts, $3 select premium drafts, and $2.50 hot dogs while Gerber Collision and Glass gives away free tickets on Gerber Thursdays!  Signature Saturdays features Festival Events, giveaways, theme nights, Kids Run the Bases, and a special Pre-Game Autograph session presented by AccessAbilities Inc. with your favorite RailCats players!
