On Sunday, May 6, 2012, Orlando City Soccer Club will be taking part in the seventh annual Joey Uvalle 3v3 Soccer Classic at the St. Charles and Bishop Moore Soccer Fields.

Joey Uvalle is 19 year-old young man who suffered a tragic fall that resulted in a catastrophic spinal cord injury and he is currently paralyzed. He is undergoing intense physical rehabilitation at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Although Joey is insured, the company has denied coverage for Joey's treatment at the Shepherd Center despite several appeals.  Each year the Joey Uvalle 3v3 Soccer Classic draws in over 700 participants to the event from the ages of 6 years old to adults.

Orlando City players such as Kyle Davies, Nick Sowers, Justin Clark, and Wes Allen will be doing a player meet and greet for all participants in the tournament. Orlando City will also be raffling off prizes such as two individual gift baskets, one with 4 tickets to any match.  Goalkeeper Miguel Gallardo’s 2011 jersey will be raffled of as well.

Matches will start on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the St. Charles and Bishop Moore Soccer Fields; 3901 Edgewater Drive, in Orlando, Florida, 32804. The tournament will take place on Sunday at 9 A.M. and finish by 6 P.M.  Three fields within the complex will be utilized for the games.
