OCYS visits the "Theater of Dreams" for Day 5
Greg Brick, Director of Coaching for Orlando City Youth Soccer, will be checking in regularly from England as the OCYS group tours, trainings, and plays against some of England’s best youth teams.

Our Fifth Day of the trip was highlighted by a trip to Old Trafford to watch Man U take on Queens Park Rangers. An early morning breakfast at the Holiday Inn Stoke-On-Trent with a room full of kids excited to see the most famous team in the world play a game in the "Theater of Dreams".

Upon arrival at Old Trafford the crowds were beginning to form and all we could see were black and red colors everywhere. Our parents and players made their way to their seats and watched the players warm up. Under 9 player Elkin Barbosa stated, "It was great to see Man United warm up and doing the simple things. I watched Rooney do box exercises just like we do."

The game started with Manchester possessing the ball in QPR's half and we immediately understood why Manchester United is so dominant. The ball moved side to side, forwards and backwards, until Ashley Young was awarded with a penalty kick early in the match along with an immediate red card to the QPR defender. Wayne Rooney stepped up and buried his penalty to give Man U a 1-0 lead. Parent Kirk Chin stated, "It was a one sided match with Manchester keeping the ball in QPR's half most of the game."

Paul Scholes dominated the midfield and was awarded with a well taken goal with a strike from the top of the 18 yard box. Man United, in calm fashion, inched its way closer to a record 20th Premier League title.
