ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City announced today the addition of Hassan Miyanji, an Orlando resident and global IT hardware distributor, to the Orlando City ownership group.  Miyanji joins the group specifically to aid in Orlando City’s efforts in becoming an MLS expansion team.

Miyanji was born in Kenya, but was educated at Ealing Polytechnic in London.  After spending 10 years in New York City, Hassan and his family moved to Orlando in 1999, where they have lived since.  Miyanji spent 15 years in IT Business with IBM and HP/Compaq before starting his own IT hardware distribution business here in Orlando.

Miyanji is a life-long soccer fan and supporter of German powerhouse Bayern Munich.  He is also an avid player, and still plays with Lake Mary FC in the Central Florida Adult Soccer League.

“I would like to see Orlando City in MLS within a few years,” said Miyanji.  “That’s my dream, and I want to be a part of it all the way!”
