Stoke City: Result: 2-0 vs Swansea City (Premier League) Next Up: 3.3.12 vs. Norwich (Premier League) In the Table: 12th Stoke City use their size and strength against Swansea to ease past the Welsh side 2-0 in league play. The Potters would use their heads to not only outsmart their opponents, but also to outscore them. Matt Upson would strike first for the Potters in the 24th minute from an excellent corner. Upson displayed great timing and strength to rise up abovethe Swansea defense, heading in a one-goal advantage for the Potters just before the half hour mark. The Potters would strike again just 15 minutes later with Peter Crouch. Crouch, who was hunting a goal, received a brilliant throw-in from Ryan Shotton to put the Potters up 2-0 before the halftime whistle. Crouch would put the ball in the bottom corner, giving Swansea no chance to save his chance. Burnley: Result: 1-3 vs Millwall (Championship) Next Up: 3.3.12 @ Watford (Championship) In the Table: 11th The Clarets would suffer another blow to their top six hopes as Millwall would thrash Burnley 3-1 at Turf Moor. Andy Keogh would strike first for Millwall in the 15th minute with a second coming from Josh Wright only 15 minutes later, giving Burley a 2-0 deficit within the first 30 minutes. Harry Kane would notch the third goal in the 70th to make their lead insurmountable. Jay Rodriguez would earn his side a consolation prize in stoppage time scoring from the penalty spot in the 93rd minute. With this defeat the Clarets have now lost three of their last four matches.
