Orlando City announced today that Friday, January 10, will be the last day to guarantee a spot in the 2014 edition of open tryouts. The 2014 open tryouts will be held on February 1 and 2 at the Seminole Soccer Complex in Sanford, Fla.

This year marks the club’s fourth open tryout held in Orlando. Standout players like Dennis Chin have been found thanks to this process, with Head Coach Adrian Heath and his staff hoping the same gems can be found in 2014.

“You never know if there’s a player that fell through the cracks,” Heath. “We want to find that guy.”

Tryouts consist of full 11v11 squad scrimmages, with coaches from the pro and youth clubs evaluating each player individually. Over 200 players attended the 2013 open tryouts, with 2014 shaping up to be a big turnout as well.
