Why do you #Believe in Major League Soccer in Orlando, LionNation?

We asked the question last week on Facebook and Twitter, with responses pouring in throughout the weekend. See if your comment was chosen by reading below!

Shawn Lane (@shawntheFup): “Orlando is truly an international city as Soccer is the international sport. The two coming together is an inevitability.”

Levi Muller (@Levi_Muller): “I believe in @MLS in Orlando because the nearest teams to Florida’s millions of soccer lovers are DC & Dallas.”

@Corcovado2881: “(Phil) Rawlins, (Adrian) Heath, excellent ownership, brilliant managers, a great town. But most of all, pure love for the game.”

Charles (@Floridian251): “I have always believed we are MLS material but 20,000+ at the Championship game just reminded me why.”

Greg Smart: “The world’s most popular sport played in the world’s favorite destinations supported by the world’s most passionate fans!”

Pablo Rodriguez-Sanchez: “I’ve seen the excitement around this team in the last 3 years in the stadium. Been to both championships. The last proved the growth of the fan base. The supporter section is awesome. It will keep growing when this team joins the MLS and with the excitement through the city.”

John Vincent Plybon: “They have the players, the passion, and the support, all they need is the thumbs up.”

Lou Cruz Castillo: “The reason is simple! This city deserves it! The team deserves it and of course the fans. We show loyalty to the team no matter what! That’s it!”

The City will vote on the approval of funds for a new downtown, multi-purpose soccer stadium on Monday, October 7, and Orange County just two weeks later on Tuesday, October 22. Pending both the City and County approval of the stadium plan, Orlando would be able to enter into final negotiations with MLS to award an expansion team to Central Florida.

Show your support and join the event on Monday by clicking here! Be active on social media throughout the next few weeks by using hashtag #Believe on your personal pages, encouraging your friends to show their support as well.
