First Ever Celebrity Golf Tournament a Success Orlando City Soccer Foundation raises over $25,000 Monday
Photo: Nigel Worrall Orlando City Soccer Foundation (OCSF) held its first ever golf tournament Monday at Grand Cypress Golf Club, with more than 27 groups consisting of 133 players taking part to raise funds for OCSF and its partners. The Foundation raised over $25,000, which will go toward efforts in the Parramore area and the Central Florida Community. Some of the celebrities included Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Larry Ridley (WESH 2), Dirty Jim of Real Radio 104.1, Christian Bruey and Joe Kepner (WFTV), Jeff Radcliffe (Brighthouse Sports Network), Jeff Day (CF News 13) Bo Outlaw and Nick Anderson (Orlando Magic alum) and more. “Thank you to Orlando City Soccer Foundation for putting on such a great event,” said Dyer in the post-outing awards. “We look forward to Orlando City becoming a Major League Soccer team in the very near future and are excited about the work OSCF is producing in the Parramore area.” Multiple Lions also participated in the outing, including: Freddie Braun, Dennis Chin, Erik Ustruck, Brian Fekete, Miguel Gallardo, Anthony Pulis, James O’Connor, Sean Kelley and Head Coach Adrian Heath. The winning group included Orlando City Forward Dennis Chin, who totaled a score of 52 in the scramble grouping. The ORLANDO CITY SOCCER FOUNDATION is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and is dedicated to fulfilling the charitable objectives of the Orlando City Soccer Club by providing outreach programs, services and initiatives for individuals and organizations in need.
