On Sunday night, well over 400 people attended the 3rd Annual Orlando City Awards Dinner held at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Fla. The night celebrated the accomplishments of the club both on and off the pitch, giving recognition to those who worked hard to make the club a success over the past calendar year.

“This was a fabulous event from start to finish, not only a celebration of another great year for the Club, but also a fundraiser for the Foundation,” said Director of Community Relations Kay Rawlins. “The funds raised will be used to further our community projects.”

The event began at 4 p.m. with the Morgan & Morgan pre-party, with a casino-themed fundraising gala in one of the hotel’s ballrooms. People enjoyed casino favorites such as blackjack, roulette and craps courtesy of Aces Wild Casino. After two hours of fun, everyone moved into the main hall for the Awards Dinner (sponsored by PepsiCo).

Attendees listened to Orlando City Soccer Foundation’s initiatives and witnessed Orlando City players and staff accept awards for their achievement during the 2013 season. Everyone also enjoyed video recaps of the season, ranging from goals to amazing saves, comical moments and behind the scenes clips arranged by the Orlando City Video Department.

All proceeds of the event went toward Orlando City Soccer Foundation (OCSF), a non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving he Orlando community and giving back the support that Orlando has given the team. For more information on the Foundation, visit OrlandoCityFoundation.org.
