Despite a loss to the Richmond Kickers Wednesday night, Orlando clinched the second seed in the 2013 postseason – guaranteeing home field advantage through the first two rounds of the playoffs.

Unlike last season, all teams enter into the quarterfinals – which begin the weekend of August 23-25. Orlando has already clinched a quarterfinal match, which will be held on Saturday, August 24, at Fifth Third Bank Field at the Florida Citrus Bowl. Click here to buy tickets.

Playoffs are knockout-format, with the No.1 seed facing No.8, No.2 v No. 7, No. 3 v No 6, and No. 4 v No 5. The first four seeds will have home field advantage in the quarterfinal round. Seeds remain the same after each round.

Orlando’s opponent for the quarterfinal is still TBD, but would be the No. 7 seed going into the quarterfinals. A possible three teams (Los Angeles, Pittsburgh and Dayton) can grab the seventh seed after the dust settles on the final weekend of regular season play.

If the Lions should advance past the first round of playoffs, the semifinals would also be in Orlando- with the date set for Friday, August 30.
