Match Preview Orlando Returns Home For Match vs. Harrisburg City Islanders Heath stresses fan support as Orlando faces Harrisburg Saturday night
Photo: Pittsburgh Riverhounds Orlando City SC (11-2-6, 39 points) returns home after a two-game away stint for a home match against the Harrisburg City Islanders (10-7-1, 31 points) on Saturday, July 20, at Fifth Third Bank Field at the Florida Citrus Bowl. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. “They are a really good group,” Orlando City Head Coach Adrian Heath. “Their coach gets a lot out of them and it won’t be easy as it’s our sixth game in 18 days. We need a good showing from our supporters this weekend. They could make a huge difference and we need them to be loud to give our boys a lift.” The Lions played their last two matches on the road, with both results ending in a draw. Orlando played to a 3-3 tie against the Dayton Dutch Lions Sunday night in Ohio while holding Pittsburgh scoreless in a 0-0 result Wednesday in Pennsylvania. After a strong start to the season, Harrisburg has dropped their last three results, two of which have occurred at their home facility of Skyline Sports Complex. The club is led by Forward Sainey Touray, who has 11 goals on the season- tied with Pittsburgh’s Jose Angulo for most among active players. Sporting Kansas City loanee Dom Dwyer, who was recalled on June 27, still holds the league record with 15. The two sides met earlier in 2013, with the match ending in a 2-2 draw. After Orlando went up 2-1, a 72nd minute score by Forward Yann Ekra levelled the match- ending the game in the same score line. The Lions hold a 4-0-1 advantage all-time against the City Islanders. Tickets for Saturday’s match start at just $15 and are available by calling (855) ORL-CITY. For more information on the team and ticket information, please visit OrlandoCitySoccer.com. |
