One current, one former Lion started for Haiti Monday night at Red Bull Arena

Orlando City SC Midfielder Jean Alexandre captained the Haitian National Team in their 2-0 loss to Honduras last night in CONCACAF Gold Cup competition-playing the full 90 minutes in Harrison, N.J., at Red Bull Arena.

Alexandre was joined by former Lion and current Sporting Kansas City (Major League Soccer) Defender Jerome Mechack last night on the Haitian side, who also played the full 90.

Rony Martinez and Marvin Chavez scored to lead Honruas to a 2-0 win over Haiti, despite Alexandre’s side showing a strong performance.

Haiti is in Group B with El Salvador and Trinidad and Tobago (T&T), who has 2012 USL PRO MVP and Orlando City Midfielder Kevin Molino on their squad. Haiti will square off against T&T in their next match, meaning two current (Alexandre and Molino) and one former Orlando City player (Mechack) will play in the game.
