After 1-1 start on the road, Lions come home for opener on Sunday against Rochester

Orlando, Fla.— After a 1-1-0 road trip to begin the 2013 USL PRO season, Orlando City comes back to the friendly confines of Fifth Third Bank Field at the Florida Citrus Bowl this Sunday, April 14, against the Rochester Rhinos. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

The Lions fell to the LA Blues Wednesday night at Cal State Fullerton Titan Stadium 1-0, with a late goal by George Davis IV securing the win for the Blues (2-1-0). Orlando began the regular season Sunday, topping expansion side Phoenix FC 3-1 in Tempe, Ariz., behind a trio of goals from Dom Dwyer, Kevin Molino and Long Tan.

The Rochester Rhinos begin their season on Saturday against fellow Florida club VSI Tampa Bay before traveling up I-4 to square off against the reigning Regular Season Champions. The Rhinos are led by Head Coach Jesse Myers, who is entering his second season with the club. Rochester will also have former Lion Matt Luzunaris on the squad. The forward scored nine goals in 2012 for Orlando, good for second best on the team behind Dennis Chin.

Orlando is 4-0-1 all time against Rochester, including a 4-0 rout last July at the Florida Citrus Bowl.

Gates open at 5 p.m. Sunday, with pregame festivities including a concert by local band Dropa Stone, drink specials, fan giveaways, and more. Sunday night’s game will be live streamed on USLNation.com. For more information on Sunday’s home opener, visit Orlandocitysoccer.com.
